2010 Fishing Derby Photos

The SWA 7th Annual Fishing Derby was held on Thursday, July 29, 2010 at Port Credit Marina. Five fishing vessels were chartered, carrying about 32 people and the weather was about as good as it could get with warm, sunny skies!

After many hours on the water, the boats returned boasting a catch of 20 fish comprised of Kings, Rainbow, Coho and even 1 Brown! The honours for “biggest catch” went to Jason Biagi’s for his 22.13 lb salmon! Coming in second was Scott Wylie with a 19.05 lb. fish and Brian Ballantyne, third, with a 12.06 lb. fish!

A special thank you is extended to all the boat captains, with a special thanks to Paul Hanratty and Craig Bowie for looking after the arrangements and prizes.

Everyone enjoyed a fabulous dinner at the Brogue Irish Pub in Port Credit. Trophy and prize presentations followed dinner.
