2006 SWA Seminar on Warranties
On Tuesday,
April 18, 2006 the Sealant and Waterproofing presented a luncheon
seminar at The School, on the topic of 'Warranties'. The presenters
were Bob Montpetit of Aquanorth Contracting Ltd. and Dan Martis
of Morrison Hershfield Limited. Discussion topics included:
- Definition
of Warranty and Definition of Guarantee
- Contractor
Warranty
- Date of Commencement
of the Warranty (i.e. Date of Substantial Performance)
- Manufacturer's
Warranty (i.e. Date of Substantial Completion versus Actual Date)
